About the Author
Growing up, I didn’t have the tools to navigate life’s challenges. My path wasn’t straightforward, and I learned many lessons the hard way—but those experiences showed me the power of personal growth.
I wrote Not Today, Frank because it’s the guide I wish I’d had as a teen: real, practical strategies that actually help.
Teens aren’t lazy or unmotivated—they simply need direction and a spark to rebuild their confidence. After the pandemic and with so little emotional education in schools, many teens are struggling to manage big feelings and reconnect socially. This book gives them tools they can use right now, one small step at a time.
If you’re searching for ways to better support your teen through some of the toughest years of their life, this book is exactly where to start.
About the e-book / paperback
if your teen had someone in their corner—every day—helping them navigate anxiety, emotions, and the chaos of growing up?
That question inspired teen mental health coach and counsellor Jennifer LeClair to create Not Today, Frank!—a practical guide teens can use right now when they’re struggling to make sense of things.
This book offers real-world tools for an anxious, screen-heavy, post-pandemic world, giving teens the skills and direction they need to move through adolescence with more confidence and clarity.
With full-colour pages, dynamic layouts, humour, and short, easy-to-follow chapters, it’s like having a personal coach and counsellor at their fingertips.

I help families
BRIDGE THE GAP
Your teen is on a journey to discover who they are, and this often comes with testing boundaries, taking risks and cutting back on how much they really tell you.
My job is to help reduce the likelihood of your teen "becoming just another statistic" by giving them the MISSING TOOLS that help them develop healthier habits, outlets, friendships and coping techniques that will last a lifetime.
"Where Teens Learn to Handle Life — Not Just Talk About It"

After more than a thousand in-home visits since 2020, Healthy Routes has learned that the most powerful change happens when teens shift their focus from “I’m broken” to “I’m capable.”
I help them move beyond challenges and labels to build resilience, accountability, and independence—skills that shape confidence and last a lifetime.

"Tools for Today. Confidence for Tomorrow."
My work centers on emotional regulation and life skills, guiding teens to manage their emotions, build strong relationships, and make decisions that support their growth and independence.
The Best Part? Over time, these skills take root.
You’ll start to see your teen respond differently—more self-aware, more connected, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges.
