PRACTICE LIMITATIONS

We work with individuals and with families to help restore trust, esteem and harmony in the home. We are well positioned to help those suffering directly or indirectly from the effects of addictions, disorders, behavioural conditions and mental health afflictions. However there are times when our clients needs exceed the abilities of our practice and trained professionals ability to serve them safely; in those cases we will do our best to refer them to Crisis Services or our Resource Page to help them find the next step on their journey.

Some of these conditions we are not in a position to serve effectively include:
Severe mental health issues/concerns; those that have been treated in a psychiatric hospital in the last three months or those exhibiting signs of schizophrenia, bipolar, severe depression. Forms of eating disorders (Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, Pica, Rumination Disorder). Suicidal Attempts (suicidal ideations). PLEASE NOTE: We apply no judgement to the individuals or families experiencing these issues/conditions –we are simply not well aligned to help patients or clients experiencing these issues at this time.
