Summer Bucket List: Get Off Those Screens

Living life to the fullest, having fun with friends, and taking time off from schoolwork is important in the teenage years. Our city has finally opened up since Covid, making the teenage years even more exciting. Now is the time to make them think about writing their summer bucket lists, reconnecting with friends, and enjoying all the city has to offer. To help you plan your summer filled with fun, laughter, and adventure, I have already compiled some ideas for you and your family to consider.

What can teens do for free or at a minimal cost

  • Camp out in the backyard

  • Learn to cook their favourite meal

  • Make a music video/ mini-movie with friends in different locations in the city

  • Hang out at a beach and picnic (Mooney’s Bay Beach, Britannia Beach, Westboro Beach, Petrie Island Beach, Constance Bay Beach, Fitzroy Beach Pakenham Beach)

  • Go down memory lane and rewatch shows and movies when you were a kid
